The slightly bowed back legs not only carry that sweeping motion on through the chair but are designed this way to provide added support. The chair is light enough to be picked up and moved wherever you need it, yet its sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of a busy café/bistro. It can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth.
